It could get ugly over there. Did Lord Gus come out with a zero tolerance policy recently?  Hmmm....

Re: Nick Marshall

I should say that we want to beat Auburn with all their stars, but I won't.  I think both Marshall and Mincy should be suspended for the first game.  Auburn could take the approach with Marshall that he is innocent until his court date in September and then suspend him after that, but that is the Kansas State game.   He should just pay his fines and Gus should sit him for at least the first game.  My Auburn buddy says the back up QB is very, very good.

They have recruited well, and we all remember about losing Mallett and in walks a very lightly tested Tyler Wilson.  The rest was history!
Gonna be a very difficult game even with the very best of situations for us...

I still resent being forced to play tOSU with all of their tattooed, cheating players.  And I want to beat Aubie, whether or not they have a full complement of players.

I was wondering that to. I think he meant the younger generation.

No, I think he meant young African-American males.  Based on the rest of the discourse.

I took it to mean his generation but I can see how it could be construed otherwise.

It was certainly part of the "culture" at the UofA when I was there 69-73, but not widely seen or acknowledged.  I don't know about athletes then, but I know the Frat houses were dens of weed smokers at the time.

yet another internet myth on the zero part

we have a drug policy just like all schools do, Gus will follow the policy the school mandates, now sure he could add to it if he feels it necessary

I guess most of it would depend if NM has had previous policy violations or not, I have no idea if he has or hasn't

Re: Nick Marshall

No, I didn't have any hidden meaning in my original statement. Just stating fact. My dad was a high school football coach several years ago, my stepson recently played, and I was heavily involved with the booster club. Been around it most of my adult life. This problem starts around the 8th-9th grade for them, right as they enter high school, then peer pressure makes it even worse. I personally know many college players now, and I know they are doing it. You guys know the old saying "sometimes the truth hurts"
Marshall will get a slap on the wrist, and he will continue to do it, he`ll just be a little more careful.

I am trying to only post positive stuff guys. I promise.

Re: Nick Marshall

Article said he was pulled over for window tint and consented to a search. He should have politely declined. Very unlikely they'd call a dog in for that. Police officer would get annoyed, but couldn't really do anything. I drive an RX-8 with an cold air intake that isn't approved for CA. Got pulled over for a tail light and the police officer asked if he could look under my hood. I politely told him I'd rather he didn't. Got a ticket for the tail light but he didn't get too look at my engine. Know the law.

Better yet, don't break the law.

Then you don't have anything to worry about and they can look where ever they want...

And if they do call in the dog, you're going to jail, bet on it.

Are you an African-American? Big, big, big difference in how you'd be treated.
