Re: Williams a Hawg

It appears that he has the speed and Ole Miss saw something special in him.  He is small, but there are lots of good examples of smaller backs being very productive in college football.  This could be another good example and I hope that it pans out.  When everyone expects the bigger backs to get the ball maybe Williams will continue to surprise everyone and make them pay.  At some point they have to respect him which now makes the defense more honest and opens things up more for us.  Plus, it looks like he can catch the ball just fine.  He could wind up being that safety valve out of the backfield for our QB's.  That would mix things up a bit for the offense and do more in the way of keeping the defense honest....

Welcome aboard young man!  You made a great choice in becoming a HOG!!

Rawleigh Williams III is a Hog

Switched from SEC powerhouse and perineal National Championship contender Ole Miss. Piling up those 3 stars. You know Saban and Miles are sweating bullets now. Seriously, glad to have him. 4.51 40

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.

I wouldn't call him small. Listed at 208 now it would not be a surprise to see him play at 220 next fall. His initial metrics compare favorably to those of Jonathan Williams, although J.W. was rated a 4-star recruit. We know what J.W. can do and we know R.W. has similar size and speed. The coaches have seen something that warranted a scholarship offer. Like you said, that versatility that comes with being a skilled receiver out of the backfield is a real plus. Some like to belittle any player with less than 4 stars. I would rather say "welcome, go Hogs".
