Congrats to him as well but why does the Game and Fish Commission need to raise funds?

Correct me if I was wrong, but, from what I read long distance when chuck left the Razorback foundation, he was actually shown the door, or was I wrong?

There was a reason he parted ways with the Foundation. I hope it was just to do with personalities and differences of opinions but I don't know. Glad to see him landing on his feet.

You're not wrong. Since he was a Broyles guy he ran afoul of His Lordship Jeff Long. Hence he was gone.

Any and every state agency could use a good, well-founded leader like CD.  G&FC has been floundering for sometime.  Their retirement is second from the bottom only to ASP, IIRC.  Someone with knowledge of fundraising is going to know how to get stagnant money moving.

Again I agree he is a good hire, just not sure why a state agency needs to fund raise. They have tax revenue or am I missing something?

Jaws, this is the Arkansas Game & Fish Foundation not the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. The Commission is a governmental entity and the Foundation is a 501(c)(3) which augments the Commission and raises funds for purposes which can't be supported by tax dollars.  Hunter safety, kid's programs, conservation efforts and the like are all supported by donations rather than State revenues.
