I'm gonna say AUB is right with them. With the pics floating around of money in recruits hands, I'm curious how many kids might be getting paid.

Re: Ole Miss Killin it
College Football is a billion dollar sport. No need to wonder "IF.". Many players and/or family is getting paid. There are many ways to cheat the system. Lance Armstrong showed that and I never once thought Lance was clean.
I can give tons of illustrations how money exchanges.

either way the SEC west is going to be hell for the next 3 or 4 years. It will take the NCAA 2 years just to find Mississippi.

Do you think @ CharlesRobinson is booking his flight to Oxford, Miss. right now, or already in the air? (Charlie Robinson is the senior investigative reporter for Yahoo! Sports) -30-

Shocking. And a little disheartening. Man, this is an unbelievable haul for them.

-30- That implies that Yahoo actually does real reporting And that implication would be correct ... maybe you've heard of the Jim Tressel story ... or surely the 2011 University of Miami scandal (of which we become beneficiaries.) Secret: Hired Dan Wetzel and a few other good ones, dominate fantasy sports, buy Rivals, start a radio network ... suddenly ESPN starts to take notice. -30-

Re: Ole Miss Killin it
But for every real story there's a thousand crappy non-articles where the comments burning "writers" like Chris Chase or MJD are much, much, much better reading than the actual story. Have you never mocked a Chris Chase article in the comment section? You're missing out, my friend. And Dan Wetzel is just a twit waiting to jump on athletes while their down or after a bad game. He sucks as a writer and seems to wait in the alleys watching others battle so he can plunder the loser when he's down. pugnaciouspig wrote:

Re: Ole Miss Killin it
Lmao... I'm not beating my drum reference Lance. I'm giving illustration that the system can be compromised.
Many ways to make payment. Trust me! It's being done. Who cheats the most achieves the most. Kids in high s hook who do it the right way don't stand a chance against another kid who is genetically gifted and take supplements in question. Sure... There are a few kids in high school not fudging and succeeding, it's rare.
While I'm on my soap box, we don't want a certain running back out of central Arkansas. Trust me! (his character will show down the road).

BHH, See now I know you are just flat full of it. Assuming you are talking about Tenpenny. If so, have you ever actually met the kid? Because many folks who have say he and his family are all class and good folks. I'll trust the evaluation of those who have met them versus some internet poster who just hates on kids because they are better than his. If you aren't talking about Tenpenny then who are you talking about?
Go Hogs.

Re: Ole Miss Killin it
Well we better get used to it because Hugh Freeze is the real deal. Expect Dan Mullen to vacate his post next year.

Re: Ole Miss Killin it
It's either a case of OM flat out cheating or 'The Blind Side' was completely inaccurate based on the way it portrayed Hugh Freeze.

Re: Ole Miss Killin it
For the life of me I don't know what the attraction is to Old Mrs. A top-5 recruiting class? Are you kidding me? 5-number 1's at their position? Is it tradition? 'Cause it sure ain't facilities or geographic area. And a first year coaching staff to boot.

Re: Ole Miss Killin it
You know I really am tired of hearing people say or insinuate that OM is cheating with no facts whatsoever. First of all, if people will exaamine the facts, three of our 5 stars had ties to OM already, and the other was from South Panola. Second, whether you want to admitt it or not, OM is a very attractive school and kids where kids want to go. Third, we have awesome facilities, as of course does the rest of the SEC. Finally, HF connects with kids and parents.
I really wish people would examine a few facts before making unsubstanciated assertions.
