ALEX COLLINS

After reading this article, though I already felt that this was a good kid, how could you not root for him? No matter where he chooses to go!

Re: ALEX COLLINS

Great Kid, honestly he's tweeted a couple times today and I think he wants to come here, I think disappointing his mom has kept Miami in it. He really seems like a great kid and I have a feeling we will be hearing about him for the next 10-15 years. First 4 on Sat, rest on Sundays.

Yeah, he tweeted that sometimes someone makes a loud noise in the woods and it makes the deer run the opposite direction. Alot of people are attributing the Kirkland fiasco to that feeling! Really believe he is having a hard time with this!

Re: ALEX COLLINS

After hearing about all the potential trouble Miami's Football program has staring them square in the face, I spent some time this weekend looking at different reports, from media outlets and it does not look good for them.  No matter how you look at them, they have an uphill climb and it would be a true shame for a young man of A.Collin's talent level to be stuck on the sidelines for two to three of the next four years b/c of NCAA sanctions.  There were several folks involved in this scandle along with an estimated 77 former players from 2001 to 2010.  From all we have seen and experienced, the NCAA doesn't get in any big hurry with handing down penalties but it looks like they are pretty close on this one; too bad they are most likely not going to do so until after NSD.  Whether Alex chooses the Hogs to run with or some other school, I certainly hope his talents and abilities do not go to waste.

Re: ALEX COLLINS

I don't know if he's choosing Miami or not, but the last few days I've seen several sites including Scout that doesn't have AR in the mix. Really surprising considering most experts are saying its between us and them. However a report from a Miami Journal reporter is saying Collins eliminated us yesterday and he's actually choosing between Miami, FSU, Texas, and Wisconsin. I hope this kid makes the right decision for him.

Re: ALEX COLLINS

Collins is set to commit on Fox Sports South tonight. The article doesn't list Arkansas as one of the schools he is considering.

As the nation’s third-ranked running back and 17th-ranked prospect overall, Collins, is a standout at South Plantation High School in Plantation, Fla. Collins is considering Florida, Florida State, Miami and Wisconsin. Also appearing in studio is Florida State commit and Collins teammate, John Franklin. The three-star cornerback will be discussing the Seminoles recruiting class.

I don't like the way that sounds...

Guys, I'm not seeing where he has taken the Hogs out of the mix. Can you give better link cause that one with the Miami Herald still has Ar in it. My son lives in Fl and the news down there is between Ar and the U!

Thanks 50! Both of those still have Hogs at the top, as all the sites I've seen!

RE: ALEX COLLINS

If you look at his twitter, most recent tweets have a girlfriend of his saying "Can't imagine stress of deciding between 2 unbelievable schools". Hmmm, sounds like AR and the U to me!

Re: ALEX COLLINS

Sorry, for some reason my link went to Wholehog instead of scout. Click on our prospects, click on Collins name and pull up his profile. When you pull up his profile there is a story talking about recruiting. Was first story on there this morning, if you read it, it doesn't mention AR at all. I don't know why it's pulling up Whole Hog but I'll try again if it doesn't work follow the instructions to the link.

EDIT: It works now Collins is the third paragraph. Foster is the second.

Re: ALEX COLLINS

I have no knowledge about who Alex is choosing or leaning toward.

I've been hearing it's between Arkansas, Wisconsin, and Thug U (Miami). First I've heard of t.u. being in the mix.

It's interesting that Wisconsin was even mentioned. It may be Alex likes what Wisconsin had, and we have. There may be a common denominator that works to our advantage.

Thug U speaks for itself, and I would hope this young man takes a different path. His bio and background would seem to be counter to the culture at "the u".

The fact that anyone should mention the whorns being in young Alex's future causes suspicion of the author's age or faculty. Why anyone would choose a team on rapid descent, with recruits bolting, and salivating lawyers and legislators in flight, I haven't a clue. Surely somebody is gravely mistaken.

I can't help but like the young man, and exclaim Alex Collins belongs in Fayetteville Arkansas with a Hog on his helmet.

Re: ALEX COLLINS

Miami scout board has it 65-35, the U over Arkansas for Collins.
They also have it 60-30-10: UA, FSU, the U for Kirkland.

What does this mean?  Absolutely nothing, until Wednesday.
