"Hitter's parks" assessed

The correct Sabermetric term is "park factor", which sounds more like part of a driving test:

Baseball Prospectus: "Park Factor Analysis" (includes minor league parks)

ESPN: Park Factor

I've always wondered, what is the calculation to adjust a players stats to the park factors?  Is this possible?  For example, we all know Petco is the toughest place to hit, so how do you adjust his offensive numbers to the 1.000 average?

Baseball-reference has a link on a player's page to Neutralize Stats. Barfield's 741 OPS becomes 743. There is a link on the neutralized page "How this works".
