Thoughts? Nice to see Ron Livingston as a new cast member.

Re: Boardwalk Empire, Season 4

Hard to get much of a handle on what is going on as Boardwalk always seems to start fairly slow and build to some huge conflict at the conclusion. Got plenty of Richard Harrow being spooky and killing people which is always good. From the promos it looks like much of the conflict this year is going to focuse around Chalky and the new Dr. Narcisse from Harlem. I'm guessing Purnsley murdering the talent agent ties into that somehow.

Re: Boardwalk Empire, Season 4

It was ok. Yeah, a first episode ao all setup. A couple of random questions/comments.
I watched on an ipad in a dark room so maybe something to do with it, but didn't the second guy in the first scene look identical to Van alden? Weird not to notice and avoid that casting choice for a one line character.

Ron Livingston, undercover? Religious fanatic that will turn jillian into a bible beater?

Didn't follow the Harrow/insurance policy?/ killing spree line at all. A little rusty on the plot I suppose.

Nucky looking at a map of florida? Looks like the dennis lehane rum running through tampa storyline started, which disappoints me because his book Live by Night with that plot that was bought by decaprio then handed to ben affleck to direct and star was pushed back by batman. Probably never gets made and they just integrate the story into BWE.
I would bet my beach house on it.  -JoeyBambino (10:42am 3/20/2012-11:30am 3/20/2012) RIP

My second favorite show (right behind Breaking Bad). Good premiere for the most part. Richard and Capone are easily my favorite characters. I hope they get the most screen time this season. And it was a nice touch seeing Richard reunite with his sister at the end of the episode

I haven't watched since the end of Season 2, because I dropped HBO.  Too pricey.  I can't wait to watch Seasons 3 and 4 on DVD/BluRay.  When I was watching it was the best show on television, IMO.

Seems to be pretty good so far. Things usually start slow in a season unless you're killing Zombies.biggrin

As for my favorite show. Homeland Season 3 begins next Sunday.

I don't think that they will re-boot history that much.

No kidding. The show has tried to at least maintain some semblance of historical accuracy. No way they are going to kill the most historically famous character on the show in a way which COMPLETELY deviates from historical fact. I would say Al is the safest character on the show.

Since Ron Livingston is a cast member, maybe it will be the 101st Airborne.

I believe the story of Van Alden will be the masterpiece of this show.

At least that's where I'll place my bet.

A lot of Chalky stuff recently. No Capone, Van Alden or Harrow at all.

Is agent Knox/Tolliver based on Clyde Tolson? Will be interesting to see.

Any thoughts on what Roy (Ron Livingston) is all about? Also, I guess you can't keep a good man (Van Alden) down.
